Michael Fromm, DVM, Veterinarian
Dr. Michael Fromm is from Columbus, MS, and attended Mississippi State University where he earned his veterinary degree in 1988. Upon graduation Dr. Fromm began his career practicing at a companion animal and avian practice in Jackson, MS. He practiced there for 17 years before moving to Waco and joining Dr. Rafferty at Animal Hospital of Waco. He enjoys practicing companion animal medicine, and especially surgery.
Dr Fromm is married to Dr. Kay Fromm and they have a daughter, Tanner Michelle. Also sharing their home are 2 dogs (Doc and Jack-Jack), and 1 cat (Ocee). When not at work, he enjoys golf, boating and bicycling.
Barney Rafferty, DVM, Veterinarian
Dr. Barney Rafferty is from Gruver, TX, where he grew up with a farming background. He went on to attend Texas A & M University, and graduated from the veterinary college in 1976. Dr. Rafferty came to the Waco area and began practicing at Animal Hospital of Waco with Dr Gardner. He enjoys internal medicine and surgery. Dr. Rafferty is married to Vickie, and they have 3 children, and 4 grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family when not practicing companion animal medicine.
Kay Fromm, DVM, Veterinarian
Dr. Kay Fromm graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. She practiced in a small animal/surgery referral hospital for 17 years, serving as an owner and manager for the last 10 years. She moved to Waco in 2006 to be near family. She enjoys internal medicine and dermatology. Dr. Fromm has been married to Michael Fromm, DVM, since 1985. They have a daughter, Tanner. They reside in McGregor with their 2 dogs - Doc and Jack-Jack, and 1 cat, Ocee. She enjoys exercising, reading, volunteering and spending time with her family.
Rachel Blair, DVM, Veterinarian
Dr. Rachel Blair was born and raised right outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She got her undergraduate degree, Bachelors of Science, from the University of New Hampshire. Dr. Blair attended Ross University School of Veterinary medicine and completed her clinical rotations at Tuft’s Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys working in small animal medicine with a focus on preventative medicine and emergency medicine. Outside of work she enjoys being outdoors and staying active. Dr. Blair has two cats, Monster and Minkus, and a lab named Duck.
Michael Hawkins, DVM, Veterinarian
Dr. Michael Hawkins earned his BS degree at BYU in 2000. In 2007, he graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in Pomona, California. He practiced for a year in Southern California before moving to Salt Lake City, Utah where he has been practicing for the past 9 years. His interests include small animal dentistry, soft tissue surgery, parasitology and internal medicine. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and their 5 children. They also have an over-enthusiastic Bull-Hound named Bruno who always has to be the center of attention. In his spare time, Dr. Hawkins can be found doing crossword puzzles, reading or playing video games. He especially enjoys getting outside and playing soccer and basketball, biking, camping and hiking.
